Reg Barber now manufactures the Japanese designed Tobira espresso coffee tampers. The Tobira espresso coffee tamper includes Reg Barber's engraved 'RB' logo on the grip.

The base and the stem are made of stainless steel. The grip is made of bubinga, (african rosewood). |
| Height and Weight |
|
The TOBIRA Tamper is 84mm (3.3in) tall and weighs 390g (13.7oz), which is within the range of current leading tamper height measurements.
84mm is slightly shorter than the height of popular tampers (85mm-92mm) due to the fact that some baristi prefer to touch the base with their thumbs and forefingers while they hold the grip. 390g is slightly heavier than the weight of popular tampers (365g-389g) but it feels lighter since this tamper is not bottom-heavy.

The TOBIRA Tampers are currently available in 58mm, 56mm, 53mm, 49mm and other sizes can be made to order in Japan. A convex-based TOBIRA Tamper is not available since the form is not compatible with the flat and polished mirror design. Flat base only.

| The tampers should not be used with any kind of soap and water, (specially oil based). The best way to clean the tamper is to wipe gently with a damp cloth. |
